I'm so glad I came back and gave QH another chance. Tonight's meals were very good. I can see, feel and taste the new owner's influence. The fish and chips dish was very good. I love the reduction and wish there had been a little bit more on the plate. The peas are more mature (bigger) than I've had in the past, but I'm NOT complaining or being silly as the server seemed to think. I'm tired of super-sweet, tiny spring peas everywhere I go. These peas had a heartiness that stood up to the nice, thick fries and the substantial but perfectly fried fish. We also had the chicken cacciatore special. The flavor was amazing. My grandmother's chic. cacc. always had the skin on and bones in...and I never liked that. To my delight QH's version eliminates the skin and bones. My only regret was that the polenta had solidified on the plate losing its creaminess. Still...I remarked aloud that I thought this chicken cacc. was worth the price. What a find! I went for a girls night out in hopes of Tori Trivia and unfortunately Tori was out of town. Not to worry though, the experience was still amazing. A cute, outdoor ambience with friendly staff. The best party - the food. A simple menu with plenty to choose from and all were absolutely amazing. I'm one never to finish my meal but wiped my plate clean, even after nibbling on three appetizers. The cauliflower bites were a little underwelming but the salmon dinner was to-die for delicious with fresh kale and garlic mashed potatoes. Already looking forward to going back.

My husband & I have driven past the Queenshead several times on our way into downtown and decided to stop for dinner....and so glad we did! First, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and creates a wonderful atmosphere for a romantic/intimate dinner or you can sit outside for a more casual feel. The Crispy Cauliflower Cheddar Croquettes were a wonderful appetizer. My husband loved the steak & ale pie & I devoured my seared salmon. But, the main attraction was the toffee pudding...IT WAS HEAVEN!!! We're still thinking about it :) Go there today, you won't regret it!

Came here looking for a cool relaxing spot for Sunday brunch in the berg and left with great results! I loved the vibe to this place. With retro 80s-90s music blasting from the speakers of the live Dj spinning, this place had a cool modern feel that a lot of new hipster like spots have leaned to perfect in the berg. Here the theme is a British pub with familiar favorites on tap such as boddingtons & Strongbow (sweet!) And familiar British pub favorites such as fish & chips. Even our waiter was pleasant and had a strong British accent! We sat outside and the decor had a lot of beds to lounge on with vibrant colors on display. Def a great place to spend and lounge on a lazy Sunday after noon after a long night out on the town. With mimosas and bloody Marys to quench your thirst during Sunday brunch, this place rocks! Not overly packed here when we arrived (2pm) so we were able to get a seat as soon as we talked in. I ordered the croque madam which had a great taste to it. I just wish they used a little more meat on it as the one slice I had barely covered over half my bread. The cheese was excellent along with the bread and the sauce spread across the plate. I had a sample of the BLT on the chibatta bread which was also excellent. Also got to sample The steak and eggs which was very tender and flavorful. Def coming back here for more Sunday brunches!

I had never even looked at menu here until today and if I had it wouldn't have taken me so long to eat here. The menu reminds me of a British restaurant I went to in Amsterdam (random, I know). They have a little bit of everything, from steak to sea food and even tofu! I was more than blown away by the cauliflower croquettes, and can see myself ordering them every time I come here. The chocolate mousse was amazing! The mousse and the whipped cream tastes homemade. Is there anything better? I can't wait to come back and try more.

I truly loved this place. The menu items were very fabulous with many different points of interest. I was a little lack lustered by the curry dish I had as a entree. When you order curry you do expect a punch and that wasn't there. It was in fact very delicate and not so flavorful. It was defiantly an elevated meal and I truly did love this place. But I feel I should of prolly went with something else for my entree. Loved the cauliflower croquettes. Truly loved them. And am so grateful for them introducing me to champagne sangria. Heather (the bartender) provided excellent service and the place really had there act together. The decor was fabulous and quirky!

I heard awesome things about Queenshead and stopped in for lunch one day. It was during that awkward off-hour, and no one was there. The bartender/server spent most of her time rolling silverware and didn't pay us much attention. She handed us some menus, and, sadly, they have incredibly limited lunch options. I ended up ordering the trixie salad and added on some chicken. I figured it would hit the spot, and it didn't. With the up charge I thought the chicken would make it a meal. Nah, not really. The rest of the ingredients were fine, but really, there was nothing memorable about it. I ended up going home and eating a little something else afterwards. The interior of this place looks like a British drag queen vomited and hasn't dusted in 5 years. I dig the campy Euro look, but all of the decorations around the bar had a nice, thick coating of dust. It kind of grossed me out and after the fact I wondered how clean they keep the kitchen with that kind of dirt.
Fish and chip sandwich was made with fresh fish battered perfectly and with a great Siracha aioli sauce to accompany it! There was even HP sauce on the table to bring out the authentic English experience! Lovely waitress and service was great. Can't wait to go back again!

Finally had a chance to stop in here after passing it a million times. The server was nice, welcoming, and friendly and the outdoor area is very pretty at night. Perfect for a group just hanging out. The inside is very interesting too with LOTS of cute lights and knick-knacks everywhere. Very interesting. They have a martini made with saki. It was pretty tasty and I enjoyed it. I ordered the fish and chips because I love fish and chips. :0) Unfortunately, both the fish and the fries were extremely greasy. I mean like soaking greasy. Not good. I ended up having to get it to-go because something came up and I had to leave so maybe that had something to do with it. Not sure why it would but maybe... Anyway, I may go again if I'm in the area simply because everyone has an off day so to be fair I might try again.

Small divey place. Definitely worth trying. I had the steak burger and fries...which were very good. The service wasn't bad...but it wasn't great either. I probably wouldn't return if the food wasn't good ...cuz there's nothing really to hang onto here. But definitely worth those "once in a while " restaurant tries. The price was pretty hefty...but I would say that it's worth it for SOME of the entrees. Overall I was satisfied with my dining experience.

I'll be real with you, Yelp. I didn't eat a full meal here. What I did have was drinks, hummus, french fries, and great service. So, I can't write a glowing review of everything that Queenshead has to offer, but after a day at a concert I was in need of some sangria and some munchies and that is what Queenshead provided. I loved the decor in here and the service was extremely nice. I'd love to come back and try a proper meal as I have a feeling that it would be quite good based on the limited portion of the menu that I tried.

Queenshead is great little restaurant. The inside is small and pub feeling, while the outside is eclectic and spacious. The service is friendly. We get the cauliflower cheddar croquettes to start. They're crispy and just what you want to taste with that name. I always get the pumpkin risotto (pumpkin is kind of an obsession for me). It's made with fresh pumpkin and it light but decadent. The risotto is cooked perfectly. I have tried the meals other people I've gone with have gotten. The steak and ale pie is delicious. The gravy is rich and compliments the steak very well. The fish and chips are really good, as you'd expect. The batter is light and crispy. You can taste the fish and the batter separately but the combination is great.

Our party of six left the Key West Grill after 45 minutes and being told there was a glitch in the kitchen and we would have to order again. So a starving group of six came into the Queenshead and were fed great food very quickly! I don't get down town much but I was told by our group that your place was on our radar and I am glad we ate the. Thank you so much for the great service and outstanding food!!

Not sure what I thought it was, but it was better than I imagined. The inside of the bar area is really cool with hanging lanterns and a funky vibe. We chose to sit outside. They have a fire pit and tables and they also have canopy beds (interesting). We got some app'ies and shared - crispy chick peas were the biggest hit followed by cauliflower and cheddar croquettes - YUM and they would both bring me back. We also had some goat cheese with beet thing and it was not that memorable as I can hardly remember what it was. We asked to glance at the brunch menu and I will be back for that too. They do not have a full liquor bar, but that did not bother me. Prices were fine and the service was good. Enjoy!!
I have visited the Queens Head twice now and both times I absolutely loved my food, the experience and the service. The Queens Head looks like a Miami club on the outside and a kitschy bar on the inside. The decor is fun to explore and talk about while you enjoy your visit. On this last visit we ordered the Cauliflower Croquettes (which I fell in love with on my first trip and cannot NOT order them) and two orders of fish and chips. The Cauliflower Croquettes taste like little gooey pockets of cheese deep fried and are perfectly complimented by two sauces (a sriracha and a spicy ranch type sauce). These disappear quickly. The fish was outstanding and probably the best I have ever had. The batter is light, flaky and extremely flavorful. You are served one huge piece along with mint peas and french fries ("chips"). The french fries are regular fries, but they taste great because they are served under the fish and they soak up the juices. I do not care for the mint peas. I like my peas overcooked and with butter, so I guess it depends on preferences. I really didn't care though because I was so happy with everything else. The current price of the fish and chips is $15. The beer selection is not the best, but I love several of their beers on tap. I recommend trying Boddington's (a nitrous) or Smithwick's (the w is silent...you can normally say "Smitty's" and most bars know what you want) if you are not familiar with them. Overall, great atmosphere, great service and great food. We will return to The Queens Head.

We live in the neighborhood and had eaten at the Queenshead before and really liked it. We just went to eat again at 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday night. First off, the staff was great! Very attentive and nice. But, and this is a big BUT, what happened to the food?? The curry we ordered was bland and not seasoned well with Indian spices as you would expect and had unseasoned chicken. Also the risotto that came with it was overcooked--not up to par at all. Extremely disappointing. The premium steak burger was o.k. but not what you would expect. Again, sort of bland. The appetizer--scallops with bacon--was the best, yet the bacon was burned to a crisp. We really liked this restaurant before, but after spending $85 and being served such a mediocre meal--certainly less than half as good as before--we will not go back.

Oh how I love coming there! Been to QH on several occasions and always had great time. The owners are two British guys and they are hilarious! Very creative with their decor too, especially around holidays. Where else can you find the hanging upside down Christmas trees? The food is good too. The best fish and chips in town! The fish is very flaky and crispy on the outside. The fries (chips) and sweet peas go perfectly with it. I love shepards pie as my winter comfort food. For brunch I like to order eggs Benedict. You can definitely spend a lot of time there even after brunch. They have a DJ outside who plays pretty chill tunes. Every time I requested a song, he had it in his collection (not top 40 type). Love fire pits which keep you warm on a chilly day or night. Overall, a must check out place if you like European food and laid back and fun atmosphere.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Drinks were brought to the table swiftly. Orders were taken and delivered in a very timely manner. Now it's true that it was a rainy evening and there wasn't much of a crowd, but that didn't bother us any! The walls in the bathroom bear looking at as they are quite entertaining. My fish and chips was yummy. More than enough for me and the people I had helping me eat it! We also sampled the pate which was hands-down the best pate I've ever eaten (though, admittedly, I'm not pate expert by any means). I didn't get to try the escargot because someone ate them all before anybody else had a chance to try them. Then there was the risotto special - also very tasty if not quite up my alley. So glad we wandered in for a late dinner. Look forward to doing it again.

This is really a 3.5 stars..... I so wanted to give it four (and my husband most likely would), but I found some of the food lacking and to get four stars in my book, I have to be thrilled across the board. We recently went here after reading the Yelp reviews in search of curry and fish and chips. Moon Under Water is our normal "go-to" place for such items, but I really wanted to try someplace new. It's small, fun and trendy inside. Outside feels awkward to me (not a fan of the big beds) but I guess that's "in" right now. We sat at the bar and had an EXCELLENT bartender. Friendly, helpful, prompt! I ordered the chicken curry and my husband ordered the fish and chips. We started with the cauliflower croquettes. They looked exactly as pictured, but I found them slightly gummy and needing more texture -- feeling very much like fried scoops of mush. The flavor was fine, but I won't be ordering them again. My curry was not a typical english curry -- it was deconstructed -- the poached chicken sat onto of a very mild/light curry sauce (which was fine and interesting, but I wanted a lot more curry flavor/heat and for the chicken to be soaked in it). The curry came with an amazing risotto. I LOVE risotto, and theirs was done beautifully, but what I really wanted was authentic curry with plain ol' yellow rice. Had the dish had another name, I would have still ordered it, but then would not have constantly compared it to "real" curries. The fish was very good. Light, delicate and fried to perfection. The chips were AWEFUL... seriously bad and burned. The peas were a terrific and much needed addition to the plate. So great service, interesting food concepts, and some total failures. We'll go back because I really enjoyed the bar and the risotto -- but I won't be making any special effort.

Upon entering from the sidewalk, we had no idea which way to go...there are no signs saying seat yourself, no host stand, no host, nothing. The "brunch" menu consists of 8 options plus soup of the day and drinks. Since none of the other items appealed to me, I opted for the eggs benedict...always a safe bet, right? Not so much. The eggs were poached to a good temp, however, there was only a bit of egg white around each of the yolks. I'm guessing the rest was lost in preparation. This was atop diced up pieces of cheap sandwich ham (or maybe canned? yuck) and a thin, untoasted english muffin (although the menu says toasted). The dish was swimming in hollondaise that had a strange off color and left an unpleasant aftertaste in my mouth. It was just not good. I wish I could say there were positive elements, but there really weren't. The service was mediocre, the outdoor dining area felt rather aged and looked like it could use a good cleaning and some new upholstery and the mimosas at $7 a piece were quite small and tasted of cheap ingredients. The regular menu looks a lot more enticing than the brunch menu but sadly, I don't ever plan to return and will therefore, not be trying it.

Why 4 stars? Because I was introduced to fish and chips. --- --- --- I was happy to dine at The Queens Head after hearing many great things. I will admit that I was a bit disappointed with the beer selection, as I anticipated a large selection of taps...but came to learn that they only had a few. The website home page even says that they have a "fantasic selection of beers," and yes...it says "fantasic." I don't think they deserve a docked star for spelling errors, but they do deserve a dock for under-delivering, with maybe 10 beers to choose from at most. As for the food, while the menu didn't seem incredibly appealing after a glance, I was looking forward to the fish and chips, despite never having it before. I was not let down. It had a flavor to it that was like nothing I have had before. I'm not sure if it's the best, because I have nothing to compare it to, but I do know that I enjoyed the hell out of it. As for the ambiance, if you are a Miami transplant and feeling home sick, I'd recommend it. The outside especially is exactly the type of scenery you'd find on South Beach...complete with house music DJ and all.

The Queenshead is one of my go-to neighborhood restaurants, and they have some of the friendliest staff and customers around. The vibe is funky yet relaxed, everyone is welcome, they are LGBT friendly, and the decor is charmingly different (the pink Christmas trees hanging upside down from the ceiling are unexpected but fun). They occasionally have special events, which are always a blast, whether it be the always amusing Trivia Night or something else. It's a great place to have drinks or dinner with friends, and it tends to attract a more artsy/hip crowd between the ages of 21 and 65. The bar stocks an assortment of drinkable wines, beer and mixed concoctions. The menu itself isn't huge and doesn't change too often, but has some successful dishes that bring the repeat customers: fish and chips, shepard's pie, crispy chickpeas, etc. The downsides to the menu are their exceedingly rich desserts, which would be a plus for some, but are far too sugary for me; in addition, their weekend brunch menu is definitely different - some will like it and some won't, as it's more British style than American. Overall though, I really enjoy stopping by this little local eatery; they always have something I enjoy, and they are a lot of fun.

This Queen needs a New Head We've tried the Queen's Head on a couple of different occasions. The first time, we found everything to be just OK. But we kept seeing some positive reviews, so we decided to give it another try--just to be fair, don't you know. The second visit was just like the first--nothing special. The red Sangria and the garden salad were pretty tasty, then it went all downhill. Every other item was flat-tasting, mediocre and middle-of-the road. Actually, maybe they achieve their goal--to taste like the bland food we've endured in many a British pub. They should also try some minor attempt to make the exterior of the building a little more pleasing. The dead vines that create two arbors under which you must pass should have been a hint. If they can't take care of the exterior, will they try any harder in the kitchen? Apparently not. Two times is enough for us. There are plenty of places in St Pete that serve food with flavor.

The ambiance is just as cool and comfortable during the day. The staff, just like last time, was very friendly. They were prompt and I was very happy with my experience. The owners are very nice and interact a lot with the patrons often. My fiancee and I met up with a friend that we had not seen in a while here on St. Patrick's day. The place was not too crowded. We had a few Guinnesses and ate some delicious Fish'n'Chips. All three of us ordered the same. I still stand by everything in my previous review, even more so now. Do yourself a favor and check with place out. Try the Fish'n'Chips even if you normally don't like Fish'n'Chips. You would be surprised and amazed. More Queenshead!? YES PLEASE!

Glad to see so many others enjoyed their experience here. We, however, did not. It was a very slow Tuesday evening when we visited. We sat at an inside table, cozy, toward the back. We ordered a round of drinks. After 10-15 minutes, 2 of the 4 drinks arrived. Then, 10 minutes later, the third. And then, finally, after a few minutes, the last. We ordered our main courses when the last of the drinks arrived. Lamb sliders, chicken curry, bangers and mash, and shepherd's pie. The very dishes many of othe other reviewers mention. And after nearly one hour, on this not-terribly-busy evening, we finally received our food. And I'm sorry to say, no one was a bit impressed: The lamb sliders came undressed in any way, with greasy over-done fries. The chicken curry, the first curry for the diner eating it, was so bland that we had to advise her she was not actually eating a curry and should try it again elsewhere. The "Bangers" and mash were, in fact, one slim little sausage, albeit perfectly grilled, and a small pile of very nicely done mashed potatoes. By no means worth the $15 charged. The Shepherd's Pie was passable. In no case did we agree that the dishes were worth anywhere near what was being charged for them. Better food would be had for the same price in other neighborhoods in this city. In sum: poor service (only because the poor bar tender had to serve all tables in the house) and mediocre food. Wouldn't go back.
Unique atmosphere as a renovated gas station. British oriented menu but not nearly as bland as traditional British. Food was delicious with fantastic mixture of flavors. Great personalized service. Definitely worth checking out in the new Grand Central area!

Unbelievable food!!! If you are a Tampa Bay foodie, you probably have lamented (like us) and the general lack of food-centric restaurants in the area. But you need to try this place! We started with the crispy chickpeas, which are an excellent twist on bar nuts. With a slight ancho tang, they are tons of fun as snack food. Then we had the minted mushroom beef sliders. Done on toasted brioche, they were unbelievable. The meat itself was tender and cooked to a nice medium. But what made it was the mint. It was fresh and unexpected - it gave a "brightness" to the dish. For mains, my husband had the Boullabaise. The actual sauce is done with a touch of coconut milk. It manages to balance a light richness to the broth that's difficult to do. I ordered the Salmon which was executed beautifully - crispy Outside and medium rare center - done in a light lemon caper sauce with roasted root vegetables. The vibe in the restaurant is wonderfully eclectic... It has an amazing sense of humor (look for the horse with disco balls lol). Overall a winner - foodies beware this will become a favorite place - we've already committed to eating our way through the entire menu!

Outstanding restaurant and bar space. Let's start with that. QH has different vibes depending on when you visit. Let's start with dinner. Incredible European menu. Lot's of English Gastropub options. The Cauliflower Croquettes with srirach sauce are little balls of cheesy goodness. The Scallops with roasted brussel sprouts and shrimp cocktail over an amazing slaw are incredible for dinner options even though they are appetizers. They have a wonderful beer and wine selection and a few cocktails like saketinis and mojito type drinks. However - they do not have a full liquor bar. The decor is incredible. Nothing like it in St. Pete nor Tampa. It's a very hip feel, upscale but still not pretentious. The bathrooms are even fun as they are wall to ceiling decoupaged in trashy British tabloids. Very fun to check out. Outside is stunning as well. Big inviting daybeds with pillows as well as an outdoor table/chairs area. During the winter, they have a beautiful fire pit and cozy blankets. Summer time is warmer but still fun to sip champagne in bed under the stars listening to some good music spinning from the DJ. They also have a very traditional upscale English brunch on the weekends with a DJ spinning fun music as well. I say upscale but the prices do not reflect. The prices are spot on and not too much for what you get. All different ages and walks of life and this is why I love this place! You can show up and see fun drag queens playing trivia or you can show up and see famous playwrites before a show. All in all, I am extremely happy QH is in our quaint downtown and providing a wonderful menu and environment!

This place delivers on every imaginable level. What made me sad is that we were there at its slowest time of the day. We spent the day in St Pete to go to the Dali Museum and had no clue where to eat, and from the looks of the pictures, menu, and reviews, this was the place to go.......and it was fantastic. There is something to be said about the decor of this establishment, that and the great 80's alternative music that was playing while we were there. Since moving to Florida, I had been on somewhat of a quest to find the best fish and chips. They are in St Pete right here and this restaurant. Crunchy on the outside, and moist on the inside, truly a remarkable dish. The mint peas that came with it were also delicious. I managed to snag a bite of my partner's pumpkin risotto and it was every bit as delicious as my entree. We couldn't leave without testing out the sticky toffee pudding which was outstanding. Think molten lava cake with less cake and more lava, lol. Yum. The service was out of this world, very charming, knew the menu, always there when you needed them. The trip here easily warrants repeat trips to St Pete to revisit this place.

Let me save you some time: GET THE CRISPY CHICK PEAS. That being said...stopped by this lovely bar after rehearsal one night; the staff is so delightful, I almost don't need to review the food. Seriously. The owners are cooltastical. We really went in for just a drink, but everyone ended up getting something to eat because the menu is fun and delicious sounding. Other raves: seared scallops with brussels sprouts and cherry wood smoked bacon (which is available in a scallop-free version as well, if you ask) and the sticky toffee pudding. I can't wait to go back!

Great burger and fries in a converted former gas station (you wouldn't know unless you looked very carefully). We stopped in for lunch and were really pleased with the day's special in-house ground beef burger, done just as we requested, and fabulous hand-cut fries with a yummy aioli. Good music, friendly service, and an all-round comfortable place to stop. We'll be back soon to try more of the interesting-looking items on the menu.

We adore this quaint little pub and restaurant! Their prices are reasonable for some very delicious food. Try the chickpeas app - crispy, crunchy, salty yum! My husband always opts for the fish and chips, which never disappoints. I always try something new and have been both blown away and just 'meh' .. but the ambiance, great atmosphere and great wine list more than make up for it. If you're able and the weather is good, get out on the patio for a glass of wine and enjoy the fire pit. Love that patio. Best outdoor hangout in St. Pete, IMO.

Excellent fried cauliflower appetizer, crispy on the outside soft and flavorful on the inside. The escargot is served in a small skillet with lots of melted garlic butter; they are very small in size which may help to account for their incredible tenderness...really excellent. Their bouillabaisse was unusual and "to die for" as the saying goes served in a white cream base rather than the more traditional red. The seasonal salad was good without being exceptional. The only disappointment for the evening was the "sticky toffee pudding" ... it wasn't. We were served a fairly dry piece of cake with whipped cream on the top, the plate had three small teaspoon sized dollops of ice cream ....missing was any hint of "sticky toffee" ...we asked and were told that this was indeed their version. I've eaten sticky toffee pudding in lots of places, here and abroad, this was the worst I've ever had. Service was pleasant and very good throughout the evening.

Tastiest British Food I've had in the USA! The Queenshead has a cozy, eclectic ambiance which is similar to some of the funky pubs you run into in Camdentown or Shoreditch in London. IMO, The British grub is some of the best I've had on this side of the Altantic as I frequent the UK several times a year. The ingredients are of a higher quality than most pub food, as evidenced by the resulting higher prices. ($15.00 for fish and chips?) Prices aside, you get bang for your buck in the quality and at happy hour as well as the Thursday fish and chips special of $10.00. We started off with the fried chickpeas thanks to my fellow Yelpers who so highly recommended them! Ditto! Especially with hot sauce! I had the chicken curry which was spiced just right and delicious. I wanted more! The portion was a tad small! My partner had the fish and chips but substituted mash (much to my chagrin). The mash was made from scratch, creamy and melted in your mouth! The fish was lightly battered, tender and flaky and delightful. Well done!

This is my FAVORITE place to eat in St. Pete, and hands-down favorite bar. The food is good, but what REALLY keeps bringing me back is the atmosphere and set-up. Eating outside either at a table or on one of their amazing canopy-style beds is the best! The owners are also quite wonderful and welcoming. Definitely an adults-only restaurant as the bathroom wallpaper is quite cheeky :). I absolutely adore their desserts and saketinis. I recommend this place to anyone going to St. Pete.

The Queen's Head reminded me of my time overseas going to restaurants that promised to seem American, but didn't. The food was OK- even though we didn't get what we ordered. Kind of gourmet-like for a simple British pub which is what we were looking for with my British father in law. He wasn't impressed. We felt a bit weird hanging out there. A lot of loud, rambunctious people hanging there and 80's pop music videos playing loudly on the big screen. I'm not sure it's worth going back for us. It just wasn't our cup of tea.

I lost count how many bottles of wine we had or food we had, but this I can tell you, I truly enjoyed this place. The owners seated us at a bed, near fireplace and they both really catered to us. Very chic location! We also tried there breakfast brunch (not buffet type) and it was very English- I had there Egg, Sausage with mash. I am not a fan of the crispy chick peas, it was over fried...it left an after taste. Bottom line, will I go back? Yay! I'am a fan!

This is a Sunday brunch review, I haven't been here any other time (yet!). Brunch at Queenshead is a great way to have a slow Sunday morning. Friendly and prompt service is great to help you sit back with friends and just enjoy your time. The simple but delicious/creative menu makes sure there's something for everyone. Make sure to pick a nice morning for outside dining and if you're feeling REALLY laid-back, hop on to one of the multiple outdoor beds with a small group and let the chill sounds of their DJ lull you in to a lazy Sunday.

Why anyone rates the brunch at this place so highly is beyond me. I gave the extra star because the eggs bendict was fresh and tasty, $12 not including tax or side item is way to pretentious for my taste. If they would've slopped a couple of pieces of potatoes on the side, I would've given an additional star but I left this place still starving. The food isn't to mention to hideous service. I ordered a cup of Earl gray tea at a British gastropub, and they 'didn't have any.' So I settled for a $3 cup of flavorless herbal tea. Oh, and the water was ice cold. I informed the waitress and she said 'the kettle was off.' (Still was charged anyway) I ordered just an English muffin with jelly, and 'they didn't have any jelly'. So I just ate it with butter. My boyfriend, who ordered coffee, had to literally get up to go inside to find someone to give him a refill. Will not be going back.

One of the best, if not THE best fish and chip dinners I've ever had. That's including London, where I lived for two months! Not a hint of greasiness, our plates came with the largest, perfectly fried Haddock I've seen. A good, clean, fresh taste, the fish is served on a bed of cottage chips and slightly crunchy peas. Delightful! Excellent wine/beer list..I was quite hapy to see Newkie Brown Ale there! Paul sat and chatted with us for a bit, telling us about a street fair/flea market/entertainment event coming up on November 12th. A very nice chap and I'm quite looking forward to returning to try some more of the menu in the near future.

Fabulous! The owner waited on us. He was very pleasant and gave great descriptions of the food and recommendations. We started with the cheddar and cauliflower croquettes which were fantastic! My mom really enjoyed her fish and chips. I ordered the roasted pumpkin risotto, which was outstanding! My hubby ordered and enjoyed the empire chicken curry. We all sampled each others foods and enjoyed them all! Writing this review makes me want to return again very soon! Yum! The flavors are a bit sophisticated so it may not be the most "kid friendly food". My son only liked the fish and chips. I think it's totally fine to bring kids there for lunch. It's definitely one of the pricier gastro pubs in the area, but worth it! The service was great. It took a little while to receive our entrees, but worth the wait. We were the only customers at lunch, but that often means the food is being prepared to order. The execution of the dishes was very pretty as well. Colorful and tastefully done. The outdoor space is very nice and inviting. We'll definitely return. Keep up the tasty food!

This is a cute place, I came at around 8:30 on a Friday night and it wasn't very crowded, mostly couples and groups at tables. Sat at the bar being by myself and the wait staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Kitchen staff took a while to get me lamb sliders. I could tell the bartenders were frustrated and repeatedly apologized saying they just checked on it and it would be right up... which happened 3 times before I ended up with my food over 40 minutes later. It was well worth the wait because the sliders were FANTASTIC! but there was also a fishy smell coming from the kitchen that made my stomach turn at a couple points (a pet peeve of mine). I was offered a drink on the house to make up for the wait. Not exactly a place to go, sit by yourself and just hang out and chat with whoever's at the bar, but would be a cute place for a date.

Nice space. Looks like a 1930s gas station repurposed in a way no one might expect - you have to be looking close to see what it once was. Nice build out, nice bar space, great outdoor space. When the weather is nice, I can see this outdoor space really hopping. We were there on a Saturday night, a slightly older crowd inside enjoying the A/C and clean air - a younger crowd outside destroying their lungs to the sounds of a DJ. Hot and smoky will never be a zone of choice for me however... the bar is quite nice, there is a decent selection of wines by the glass and craft brew choices for beer drinkers. The bat staff was friendly - there is a menu of food items, none of which we tried as this was the mid point in our evening and we were on our way to Georgie's for some serious libations.

Four posted lounge beds over a gravel patio, indie-electro dance parties, bathrooms papered with British tabloids, and a progressive European-influenced gastro pub menu. Sounds out of place in the bay area, doesn't it? The Queenshead is an anomaly, but is also the most welcoming scene I've experienced down here. Joint owners Darren and Paul have poured hearts into this smallish restaurant/pub/club, and the result would fit into any of the more eclectic scenes of Miami, NY, or San Fran. Chef Chris Greer can do no wrong - the menu is seasonal, balanced, and comprehensively delicious. Try the pistachio stuffed duck breast, the fish and chips, or the beet and mushroom risotto. For dessert, take a few people and order one of each item. Explore sake-bloody mary's, or any of the familiar (or unfamiliar) beers. Sunday Brunch, long an underexploited opportunity downtown, is spot-on here. Sausage and beans on toast is britishly delicious, as are the chip buttie, the kedgeree, and the other oddly named and exquisitely prepared pub breakfasts they've translated into modern culinary analogs. DJ Craig Dirty spins down-tempo tracks, quiet electronica and guitar chords rousing you from whatever chaos enveloped your Saturday night previous. Speaking of Saturday nights previous, DJ Craig rocks a mean house every week, and there's an 80's night, too. On other nights, you might be lucky enough to find a local jazz band, or maybe a movie projected onto a screen in the outdoors lounge. There's a firepit, too, but no marshmallows yet. Creative Loafing article aside, it'd be a disservice to classify QH under any sort of sexual preference. It's in Kenwood, which is considered the Gay/Lesbian neighborhood of St. Petersburg, but everyone's welcome. It's an invitation you'd be unwise to disregard.

Have only been in town for a month and have eaten here 5 times......The food and service is fantastic and the decor is wonderful.....The owners Paul and Darrin are 2 of the nicest guys in the business in the Grand Central area....Having said this the FOOD is the star.....BEST Fish and Chips outside of London... the malt vinegar reduction is like manna from heaven and the minted spring peas will make you smack yo mama for never serving peas like this.......the second visit I had the chicken curried risotto special......did everything but pick up the plate and lick it....and this afternoon met a friend and had their shepherd's pie and hand made crisps with goat cheese and beets....DAYUM....over the top wonderful.......BUT still the one item that blew me away was their chocolate brownie concoction......My only wish is that they had Traditional English Sunday Dinner-roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, parsnips and turnips, etc......like in the Cotswold's restaurants.....and a good peaty scotch to top it off....while they do not have a full liquor license they do have great wines and beers and make a Bloody Mary with sake that is wonderful as well. Keep it up guys and if I keep harping on the Sunday Dinner idea maybe they will offer it once a month but YOU ALL Have to come if they do as I am sure it will be perfection like everything else they do.

all the reviews that say, "the food is good, the service is bad" are true. they simply need more help-- busboys, hostess, waiters, valet to man the parking (we accidentally parked next-door at the painting gallery; someone hassled us about it and then blocked us in?), etc. here's why: we made reservations, came from a reception at the art center and were greatly looking forward to having dinner at qh. hours before, the other couple had to cancel, but the manager was very gracious about it and we had a nice table inside waiting for us. when you walk in, you can't help but think "what a cute place!" when we sat down we ordered a glass of merlot and a decaf coffee. my wine was good (i later ordered another glass, but couldn't finish it). throughout the night i reminded our waitress about the coffee. we finally got it (one cup) as we finished our dinner, and the $3 sure showed up on the bill. we ordered the cauliflower croquettes as an appetizer, which caught my eye on line and the waitress recommended. honestly, the 2 sauces they came with it were great and pretty on the plate, but i thought the croquettes were a little bland (like they needed a little dijon mustard in them). i had the salmon, which even though there was a small piece of tinfoil in the entree, was fantastic-- it had a creamy sauce with capers and was served with thin-sliced beets and thin-sliced sweet potatoes. my friend had fish and chips-- the fish was perfect-- light, crispy and huge, not so sure about the chips (the seemed a little under-crispy and maybe out of a bag). some salt & pepper on the table would have been nice, and as nice as the decor was, the silverware was old, crummy and cheap, and wrapped in a white paper napkin. however, the waitress filled up my water glass several times, which was good. once a large table sat down next to us-- who were loud, all had separate checks, barely ordered any food, but were there for a pub night of drinking-- the waitress literally had to run between the outside & the inside. finally, we ordered sticky toffee pudding to-go. i didn't realize that it's served warm, which is fine in a to-go box, but it had small scoops of ice cream around it? by the time we got home it was a runny, gross mess, which i had to throw out. we tipped 20%, which was $14. i'm glad we went, but i can't see going back.

While it's atmosphere is nice and the owners and staff extremely friendly, I was disappointed with the food. Portions are small which I don't really have a problem with, but are served alone with no extras like a Salad. I had a plate of risotto only, and not only was the portion small , it cost $16.00. We have some awesome restaurants in St. Petersburg, but this one needs a little food improvement to match their prices.

Fish and chips - the best in the area, the cod was hanging off both sides of the plate. The chicken curry is very tasty, and having a corn fritter rather than rice was innovative and tantalizing to the palate. The bangers and mash was disappointing mainly due to the fact that there was only one banger, albeit sliced into bite size pieces. Half the fun of sausages is cutting 'em up yourself. I'd rather forego this touch of preparation and have an extra banger. The mash was very good tho. The Sunday brunch is popular, and they made a dish of mashed up fish and egg that sounds unappetizing at first but is truly a tasty surrpse. I look forward to the return of their traditional British roast dinner, which Darren, one of the owners, told me didn't work over the two Sundays they served it. You gotta give it more time than that, guys!

An eclectic euro-bar & restaurant with a compact well-chosen menu of primarily british isles inspired food. While the menu may be compact the flavor and portions are far from it! The fish & chips were perfectly prepared and very tasty. The chicken curry was well spiced and flavorful. Save room for the white chocolate sticky toffee pudding (British for a moist heavy cake with topping) with mango sorbet, there is enough for two. We did not indulge in alcohol this trip, but a decent selection of beers including Guinness on tap, several well chosen wines including ports by the glass. In short, a very pleasant, trendy atmosphere, that is comfortable for all. If it is a nice evening weather wise - they have some awesome outdoor seating to enjoy the streetmosphere of the Grand Central District. I'll return to indulge further!

Read good reviews so decided to give it a try while in town for the weekend. Very local small pub feel, interesting decor, nice outdoor seating. Fast and attentive servers. Food was phenomenal. Shared the crispy chickpeas with my husband, delicious crunch and nice soft inside. Great flavor, salty but not too salty. Husband had the bangers and mash, best ever! Mash was creamy and buttery and the red wine sauce was amazing. I had the marinated artichoke and goat cheese salad, if you like goat cheese get it! Delicious!! Small-ish portions for the price but it was just enough for us and absolutely worth it in taste and flavor. Very happy with our choice to go here!

took my dad here for Fathers day since it was one of the only places we haven't tried in St Pete. Food was tasty, but i felt the portions were small and everything was a couple dollars overpriced. Waitress was friendly, but took a LONG time to come back to the table and it WAS NOT busy in the building, plus completely didn't bring the last round of drinks we ordered ( she didn't charge us so i guess its a wash) I would go back a second time just to give it another try, but if im let down again i wouldnt be surprised.

I'm so glad I came back and gave QH another chance. Tonight's meals were very good. I can see, feel and taste the new owner's influence. The fish and chips dish was very good. I love the reduction and wish there had been a little bit more on the plate. The peas are more mature (bigger) than I've had in the past, but I'm NOT complaining or being silly as the server seemed to think. I'm tired of super-sweet, tiny spring peas everywhere I go. These peas had a heartiness that stood up to the nice, thick fries and the substantial but perfectly fried fish. We also had the chicken cacciatore special. The flavor was amazing. My grandmother's chic. cacc. always had the skin on and bones in...and I never liked that. To my delight QH's version eliminates the skin and bones. My only regret was that the polenta had solidified on the plate losing its creaminess. Still...I remarked aloud that I thought this chicken cacc. was worth the price. What a find! I went for a girls night out in hopes of Tori Trivia and unfortunately Tori was out of town. Not to worry though, the experience was still amazing. A cute, outdoor ambience with friendly staff. The best party - the food. A simple menu with plenty to choose from and all were absolutely amazing. I'm one never to finish my meal but wiped my plate clean, even after nibbling on three appetizers. The cauliflower bites were a little underwelming but the salmon dinner was to-die for delicious with fresh kale and garlic mashed potatoes. Already looking forward to going back.

My husband & I have driven past the Queenshead several times on our way into downtown and decided to stop for dinner....and so glad we did! First, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and creates a wonderful atmosphere for a romantic/intimate dinner or you can sit outside for a more casual feel. The Crispy Cauliflower Cheddar Croquettes were a wonderful appetizer. My husband loved the steak & ale pie & I devoured my seared salmon. But, the main attraction was the toffee pudding...IT WAS HEAVEN!!! We're still thinking about it :) Go there today, you won't regret it!

Came here looking for a cool relaxing spot for Sunday brunch in the berg and left with great results! I loved the vibe to this place. With retro 80s-90s music blasting from the speakers of the live Dj spinning, this place had a cool modern feel that a lot of new hipster like spots have leaned to perfect in the berg. Here the theme is a British pub with familiar favorites on tap such as boddingtons & Strongbow (sweet!) And familiar British pub favorites such as fish & chips. Even our waiter was pleasant and had a strong British accent! We sat outside and the decor had a lot of beds to lounge on with vibrant colors on display. Def a great place to spend and lounge on a lazy Sunday after noon after a long night out on the town. With mimosas and bloody Marys to quench your thirst during Sunday brunch, this place rocks! Not overly packed here when we arrived (2pm) so we were able to get a seat as soon as we talked in. I ordered the croque madam which had a great taste to it. I just wish they used a little more meat on it as the one slice I had barely covered over half my bread. The cheese was excellent along with the bread and the sauce spread across the plate. I had a sample of the BLT on the chibatta bread which was also excellent. Also got to sample The steak and eggs which was very tender and flavorful. Def coming back here for more Sunday brunches!

I had never even looked at menu here until today and if I had it wouldn't have taken me so long to eat here. The menu reminds me of a British restaurant I went to in Amsterdam (random, I know). They have a little bit of everything, from steak to sea food and even tofu! I was more than blown away by the cauliflower croquettes, and can see myself ordering them every time I come here. When you order curry you do expect a punch and that wasn't there. It was in fact very delicate and not so flavorful. It was defiantly an elevated meal and I truly did love this place. I heard awesome things about Queenshead and stopped in for lunch one day. It was during that awkward off-hour, and no one was there. The bartender/server spent most of her time rolling silverware and didn't pay us much attention. She handed us some menus, and, sadly, they have incredibly limited lunch options. I ended up ordering the trixie salad and added on some chicken. I figured it would hit the spot, and it didn't. With the up charge I thought the chicken would make it a meal. Nah, not really. The rest of the ingredients were fine, but really, there was nothing memorable about it. I ended up going home and eating a little something else afterwards. The interior of this place looks like a British drag queen vomited and hasn't dusted in 5 years. I dig the campy Euro look, but all of the decorations around the bar had a nice, thick coating of dust. It kind of grossed me out and after the fact I wondered how clean they keep the kitchen with that kind of dirt.

Visited during dinner because I noticed that the lunch menu was limited thanks to another Yelper. I started with the cauliflower cheese croquette appetizer over the spicy aioli & Sriracha. It was so phenomenal I wish I had not been sharing and kept it to myself. 5 out of 5 Ordered 2 entrées: Premium Steak Burger - brioche bun, lettuce, tomato, bacon, fried egg and raspberry jam served with truffle fries; Monkfish Special - over asparagus and risotto - this was a fish of the day off the menu option Ordered the steak burger Medium temp and it was made perfectly. The patty was large enough for me to have wished I had ordered it Medium Well - just a pet peeve I have with beef being too pink. I've had better brioche buns (just try Kona Grill's Turkey Burger and you'll understand what I mean) and my suggestion would be to actually bake them at the place and strive for a more airy texture with a buttery rich quality to it. That would definitely enhance the already perfect combination of the hearty fried egg with the savory raspberry jam. The white truffle fries were an excellent aromatic complement to the burger. 4 out of 5 The monkfish special left something to be desired I thought. It definitely tasted like eating light. I don't expect risotto to be, well, bland. It wasn't inedible, but I had high expectations set by the reviews posted by Yelpers. Now, I think this risotto is not like their chicken curried one which I will definitely order next time to what the hype was all about. Definitely a delicate impression altogether. 3 out of 5 I tried the Blueberry Saketini & Champagne Sangria. The pleasantry in drinking a cocktail sometimes lies in the subtlety of the spirit's presence within the libation. The blueberry sake-tini achieves this flawlessly! 5 out of 5 The champagne sangria was somewhat cloying with the muddled fruit. Not bad but I'm judging it on the idea of: "Would I order this drink again?" I think an espresso martini would be my idea of a sweet drink that I'd be inclined to enjoy. I guess I was expecting a bit more dryness and spritz. 3 out of 5 I ended on a sweet note with the warm berry cobbler that's served in a skillet with vanilla ice cream. Great dessert! The only thing it could improve on is if they added extra crust to the dessert. The lack of it left too much of the saucy berries on the skillet, turning the remaining portion of the dessert into a compote soup rather than the substantial character you get from a cobbler. It is my assumption that the berries are warmed in the skillet separately and then topped off with the crust, which leads me to think that perhaps one could request for extra crust when ordering the warm berry cobbler. That I will find out on my next visit. 4 out of 5 I will definitely revisit Queenshead!

Finally had a chance to stop in here after passing it a million times. The server was nice, welcoming, and friendly and the outdoor area is very pretty at night. Perfect for a group just hanging out. The inside is very interesting too with LOTS of cute lights and knick-knacks everywhere. Very interesting. They have a martini made with saki. It was pretty tasty and I enjoyed it. I ordered the fish and chips because I love fish and chips. :0) Unfortunately, both the fish and the fries were extremely greasy. I mean like soaking greasy. Not good. I ended up having to get it to-go because something came up and I had to leave so maybe that had something to do with it. Not sure why it would but maybe... Anyway, I may go again if I'm in the area simply because everyone has an off day so to be fair I might try again.

Small divey place. Definitely worth trying. I had the steak burger and fries...which were very good. The service wasn't bad...but it wasn't great either. I probably wouldn't return if the food wasn't good ...cuz there's nothing really to hang onto here. But definitely worth those "once in a while " restaurant tries. The price was pretty hefty...but I would say that it's worth it for SOME of the entrees. Overall I was satisfied with my dining experience.

I'll be real with you, Yelp. I didn't eat a full meal here. What I did have was drinks, hummus, french fries, and great service. So, I can't write a glowing review of everything that Queenshead has to offer, but after a day at a concert I was in need of some sangria and some munchies and that is what Queenshead provided. I loved the decor in here and the service was extremely nice. I'd love to come back and try a proper meal as I have a feeling that it would be quite good based on the limited portion of the menu that I tried.

Queenshead is great little restaurant. The inside is small and pub feeling, while the outside is eclectic and spacious. The service is friendly. We get the cauliflower cheddar croquettes to start. They're crispy and just what you want to taste with that name. I always get the pumpkin risotto (pumpkin is kind of an obsession for me). It's made with fresh pumpkin and it light but decadent. The risotto is cooked perfectly. I have tried the meals other people I've gone with have gotten. The steak and ale pie is delicious. The gravy is rich and compliments the steak very well. The fish and chips are really good, as you'd expect. The batter is light and crispy. You can taste the fish and the batter separately but the combination is great.

Our party of six left the Key West Grill after 45 minutes and being told there was a glitch in the kitchen and we would have to order again. So a starving group of six came into the Queenshead and were fed great food very quickly! Not sure what I thought it was, but it was better than I imagined. The inside of the bar area is really cool with hanging lanterns and a funky vibe. We chose to sit outside. They have a fire pit and tables and they also have canopy beds (interesting). We got some app'ies and shared - crispy chick peas were the biggest hit followed by cauliflower and cheddar croquettes - YUM and they would both bring me back. We also had some goat cheese with beet thing and it was not that memorable as I can hardly remember what it was. We asked to glance at the brunch menu and I will be back for that too. They do not have a full liquor bar, but that did not bother me. Prices were fine and the service was good. Enjoy!!

Love this place! We came for dinner on New Year's Eve and had a great experience. The staff was very warm and friendly answering any questions we had with ease. The decor is lovely and can be enjoyed from a table or from the large bar. They also have a huge outdoor space with tables and even lounge-y beds to enjoy. We ordered the goat cheese crackers and cauliflower as apps and both were delicious and artfully prepared. Our entrees were the chicken curry and salmon dishes. The curry was awesome and served with just the right amount of sauce without being overwhelming. My fiancée loved his salmon and commented that the sauce was very good and not too heavy tasting. We had a great time lingering over our dinner and never felt rushed. We will definitely be back whether for lunch or dinner, as a couple or in a group.

I have visited the Queens Head twice now and both times I absolutely loved my food, the experience and the service. The Queens Head looks like a Miami club on the outside and a kitschy bar on the inside. The decor is fun to explore and talk about while you enjoy your visit. On this last visit we ordered the Cauliflower Croquettes (which I fell in love with on my first trip and cannot NOT order them) and two orders of fish and chips. The Cauliflower Croquettes taste like little gooey pockets of cheese deep fried and are perfectly complimented by two sauces (a sriracha and a spicy ranch type sauce). These disappear quickly. The fish was outstanding and probably the best I have ever had. The batter is light, flaky and extremely flavorful. You are served one huge piece along with mint peas and french fries ("chips"). The french fries are regular fries, but they taste great because they are served under the fish and they soak up the juices. I do not care for the mint peas. I like my peas overcooked and with butter, so I guess it depends on preferences. I really didn't care though because I was so happy with everything else. The current price of the fish and chips is $15. The beer selection is not the best, but I love several of their beers on tap. I recommend trying Boddington's (a nitrous) or Smithwick's (the w is silent...you can normally say "Smitty's" and most bars know what you want) if you are not familiar with them. Overall, great atmosphere, great service and great food. We will return to The Queens Head.

We live in the neighborhood and had eaten at the Queenshead before and really liked it. We just went to eat again at 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday night. First off, the staff was great! Very attentive and nice. But, and this is a big BUT, what happened to the food?? The curry we ordered was bland and not seasoned well with Indian spices as you would expect and had unseasoned chicken. Also the risotto that came with it was overcooked--not up to par at all. Extremely disappointing. The premium steak burger was o.k. but not what you would expect. Again, sort of bland. The appetizer--scallops with bacon--was the best, yet the bacon was burned to a crisp. We really liked this restaurant before, but after spending $85 and being served such a mediocre meal--certainly less than half as good as before--we will not go back.

Oh how I love coming there! Been to QH on several occasions and always had great time. The owners are two British guys and they are hilarious! Very creative with their decor too, especially around holidays. Where else can you find the hanging upside down Christmas trees? The food is good too. The best fish and chips in town! The fish is very flaky and crispy on the outside. The fries (chips) and sweet peas go perfectly with it. I love shepards pie as my winter comfort food. For brunch I like to order eggs Benedict. You can definitely spend a lot of time there even after brunch. They have a DJ outside who plays pretty chill tunes. Every time I requested a song, he had it in his collection (not top 40 type). Love fire pits which keep you warm on a chilly day or night. Overall, a must check out place if you like European food and laid back and fun atmosphere.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Drinks were brought to the table swiftly. Orders were taken and delivered in a very timely manner. Now it's true that it was a rainy evening and there wasn't much of a crowd, but that didn't bother us any! The walls in the bathroom bear looking at as they are quite entertaining. My fish and chips was yummy. More than enough for me and the people I had helping me eat it! We also sampled the pate which was hands-down the best pate I've ever eaten (though, admittedly, I'm not pate expert by any means). I didn't get to try the escargot because someone ate them all before anybody else had a chance to try them. Then there was the risotto special - also very tasty if not quite up my alley. So glad we wandered in for a late dinner. Look forward to doing it again.

This is really a 3.5 stars..... I so wanted to give it four (and my husband most likely would), but I found some of the food lacking and to get four stars in my book, I have to be thrilled across the board. We recently went here after reading the Yelp reviews in search of curry and fish and chips. Moon Under Water is our normal "go-to" place for such items, but I really wanted to try someplace new. It's small, fun and trendy inside. Outside feels awkward to me (not a fan of the big beds) but I guess that's "in" right now. We sat at the bar and had an EXCELLENT bartender. Friendly, helpful, prompt! I ordered the chicken curry and my husband ordered the fish and chips. We started with the cauliflower croquettes. They looked exactly as pictured, but I found them slightly gummy and needing more texture -- feeling very much like fried scoops of mush. The flavor was fine, but I won't be ordering them again. My curry was not a typical english curry -- it was deconstructed -- the poached chicken sat onto of a very mild/light curry sauce (which was fine and interesting, but I wanted a lot more curry flavor/heat and for the chicken to be soaked in it). The curry came with an amazing risotto. I LOVE risotto, and theirs was done beautifully, but what I really wanted was authentic curry with plain ol' yellow rice. Had the dish had another name, I would have still ordered it, but then would not have constantly compared it to "real" curries. The fish was very good. Light, delicate and fried to perfection. The chips were AWEFUL... seriously bad and burned. The peas were a terrific and much needed addition to the plate. So great service, interesting food concepts, and some total failures. We'll go back because I really enjoyed the bar and the risotto -- but I won't be making any special effort.

Upon entering from the sidewalk, we had no idea which way to go...there are no signs saying seat yourself, no host stand, no host, nothing. The "brunch" menu consists of 8 options plus soup of the day and drinks. Since none of the other items appealed to me, I opted for the eggs benedict...always a safe bet, right? Not so much. The eggs were poached to a good temp, however, there was only a bit of egg white around each of the yolks. I'm guessing the rest was lost in preparation. This was atop diced up pieces of cheap sandwich ham (or maybe canned? yuck) and a thin, untoasted english muffin (although the menu says toasted). The dish was swimming in hollondaise that had a strange off color and left an unpleasant aftertaste in my mouth. It was just not good. I wish I could say there were positive elements, but there really weren't. The service was mediocre, the outdoor dining area felt rather aged and looked like it could use a good cleaning and some new upholstery and the mimosas at $7 a piece were quite small and tasted of cheap ingredients. The regular menu looks a lot more enticing than the brunch menu but sadly, I don't ever plan to return and will therefore, not be trying it.

Why 4 stars? Because I was introduced to fish and chips. --- --- --- I was happy to dine at The Queens Head after hearing many great things. I will admit that I was a bit disappointed with the beer selection, as I anticipated a large selection of taps...but came to learn that they only had a few. The website home page even says that they have a "fantasic selection of beers," and yes...it says "fantasic." I don't think they deserve a docked star for spelling errors, but they do deserve a dock for under-delivering, with maybe 10 beers to choose from at most. As for the food, while the menu didn't seem incredibly appealing after a glance, I was looking forward to the fish and chips, despite never having it before. I was not let down. It had a flavor to it that was like nothing I have had before. I'm not sure if it's the best, because I have nothing to compare it to, but I do know that I enjoyed the hell out of it. As for the ambiance, if you are a Miami transplant and feeling home sick, I'd recommend it. The outside especially is exactly the type of scenery you'd find on South Beach...complete with house music DJ and all.

The Queenshead is one of my go-to neighborhood restaurants, and they have some of the friendliest staff and customers around. The vibe is funky yet relaxed, everyone is welcome, they are LGBT friendly, and the decor is charmingly different (the pink Christmas trees hanging upside down from the ceiling are unexpected but fun). They occasionally have special events, which are always a blast, whether it be the always amusing Trivia Night or something else. It's a great place to have drinks or dinner with friends, and it tends to attract a more artsy/hip crowd between the ages of 21 and 65. The bar stocks an assortment of drinkable wines, beer and mixed concoctions. The menu itself isn't huge and doesn't change too often, but has some successful dishes that bring the repeat customers: fish and chips, shepard's pie, crispy chickpeas, etc. The downsides to the menu are their exceedingly rich desserts, which would be a plus for some, but are far too sugary for me; in addition, their weekend brunch menu is definitely different - some will like it and some won't, as it's more British style than American. Overall though, I really enjoy stopping by this little local eatery; they always have something I enjoy, and they are a lot of fun.

This Queen needs a New Head We've tried the Queen's Head on a couple of different occasions. The first time, we found everything to be just OK. But we kept seeing some positive reviews, so we decided to give it another try--just to be fair, don't you know. The second visit was just like the first--nothing special. The red Sangria and the garden salad were pretty tasty, then it went all downhill. Every other item was flat-tasting, mediocre and middle-of-the road. Actually, maybe they achieve their goal--to taste like the bland food we've endured in many a British pub. They should also try some minor attempt to make the exterior of the building a little more pleasing. The dead vines that create two arbors under which you must pass should have been a hint. If they can't take care of the exterior, will they try any harder in the kitchen? Apparently not. Two times is enough for us. There are plenty of places in St Pete that serve food with flavor.

The ambiance is just as cool and comfortable during the day. The staff, just like last time, was very friendly. They were prompt and I was very happy with my experience. The owners are very nice and interact a lot with the patrons often. My fiancee and I met up with a friend that we had not seen in a while here on St. Patrick's day. The place was not too crowded. We had a few Guinnesses and ate some delicious Fish'n'Chips. All three of us ordered the same. I still stand by everything in my previous review, even more so now. Do yourself a favor and check with place out. Try the Fish'n'Chips even if you normally don't like Fish'n'Chips. You would be surprised and amazed. More Queenshead!? YES PLEASE!

Glad to see so many others enjoyed their experience here. We, however, did not. It was a very slow Tuesday evening when we visited. We sat at an inside table, cozy, toward the back. We ordered a round of drinks. After 10-15 minutes, 2 of the 4 drinks arrived. Then, 10 minutes later, the third. And then, finally, after a few minutes, the last. We ordered our main courses when the last of the drinks arrived. Lamb sliders, chicken curry, bangers and mash, and shepherd's pie. The very dishes many of othe other reviewers mention. And after nearly one hour, on this not-terribly-busy evening, we finally received our food. And I'm sorry to say, no one was a bit impressed: The lamb sliders came undressed in any way, with greasy over-done fries. The chicken curry, the first curry for the diner eating it, was so bland that we had to advise her she was not actually eating a curry and should try it again elsewhere. The "Bangers" and mash were, in fact, one slim little sausage, albeit perfectly grilled, and a small pile of very nicely done mashed potatoes. By no means worth the $15 charged. The Shepherd's Pie was passable. In no case did we agree that the dishes were worth anywhere near what was being charged for them. Better food would be had for the same price in other neighborhoods in this city. In sum: poor service (only because the poor bar tender had to serve all tables in the house) and mediocre food. Wouldn't go back.

Great neighborhoody vibe. The décor is hip and comfortable. The staff makes you feel like an old friend. The interior is quaint and is a nice mix of classic yet modern (usually a hard combination to pull off but Queenshead does). The menu is about $2 too much per entre (my only concerning comment). Usually there is some sort of outdoor entertainment. Its definitely gay-friendly. Its a great evening time starting point for a night of bar hopping.

Unbelievable food!!! If you are a Tampa Bay foodie, you probably have lamented (like us) and the general lack of food-centric restaurants in the area. But you need to try this place! We started with the crispy chickpeas, which are an excellent twist on bar nuts. With a slight ancho tang, they are tons of fun as snack food. Then we had the minted mushroom beef sliders. Done on toasted brioche, they were unbelievable. The meat itself was tender and cooked to a nice medium. But what made it was the mint. It was fresh and unexpected - it gave a "brightness" to the dish. For mains, my husband had the Boullabaise. The actual sauce is done with a touch of coconut milk. It manages to balance a light richness to the broth that's difficult to do. I ordered the Salmon which was executed beautifully - crispy Outside and medium rare center - done in a light lemon caper sauce with roasted root vegetables. The vibe in the restaurant is wonderfully eclectic... It has an amazing sense of humor (look for the horse with disco balls lol). Overall a winner - foodies beware this will become a favorite place - we've already committed to eating our way through the entire menu!

Outstanding restaurant and bar space. Let's start with that. QH has different vibes depending on when you visit. Let's start with dinner. Incredible European menu. Lot's of English Gastropub options. The Cauliflower Croquettes with srirach sauce are little balls of cheesy goodness. The Scallops with roasted brussel sprouts and shrimp cocktail over an amazing slaw are incredible for dinner options even though they are appetizers. They have a wonderful beer and wine selection and a few cocktails like saketinis and mojito type drinks. However - they do not have a full liquor bar. The decor is incredible. Nothing like it in St. Pete nor Tampa. It's a very hip feel, upscale but still not pretentious. The bathrooms are even fun as they are wall to ceiling decoupaged in trashy British tabloids. Very fun to check out. Outside is stunning as well. Big inviting daybeds with pillows as well as an outdoor table/chairs area. During the winter, they have a beautiful fire pit and cozy blankets. Summer time is warmer but still fun to sip champagne in bed under the stars listening to some good music spinning from the DJ. They also have a very traditional upscale English brunch on the weekends with a DJ spinning fun music as well. I say upscale but the prices do not reflect. The prices are spot on and not too much for what you get. All different ages and walks of life and this is why I love this place! You can show up and see fun drag queens playing trivia or you can show up and see famous playwrites before a show. All in all, I am extremely happy QH is in our quaint downtown and providing a wonderful menu and environment!

This place delivers on every imaginable level. What made me sad is that we were there at its slowest time of the day. We spent the day in St Pete to go to the Dali Museum and had no clue where to eat, and from the looks of the pictures, menu, and reviews, this was the place to go.......and it was fantastic. There is something to be said about the decor of this establishment, that and the great 80's alternative music that was playing while we were there. Since moving to Florida, I had been on somewhat of a quest to find the best fish and chips. They are in St Pete right here and this restaurant. Crunchy on the outside, and moist on the inside, truly a remarkable dish. The mint peas that came with it were also delicious. I managed to snag a bite of my partner's pumpkin risotto and it was every bit as delicious as my entree. We couldn't leave without testing out the sticky toffee pudding which was outstanding. Think molten lava cake with less cake and more lava, lol. Yum. The service was out of this world, very charming, knew the menu, always there when you needed them. The trip here easily warrants repeat trips to St Pete to revisit this place.

Thinking I was ordering yet another ancestor of the newspaper-swaddled British comfort food, I was blown away by the chef's adventurous departure on fish & chips. Let me save you some time: GET THE CRISPY CHICK PEAS. That being said...stopped by this lovely bar after rehearsal one night; the staff is so delightful, I almost don't need to review the food. Seriously. The owners are cooltastical. We really went in for just a drink, but everyone ended up getting something to eat because the menu is fun and delicious sounding. Other raves: seared scallops with brussels sprouts and cherry wood smoked bacon (which is available in a scallop-free version as well, if you ask) and the sticky toffee pudding. I can't wait to go back!

Great burger and fries in a converted former gas station (you wouldn't know unless you looked very carefully). We stopped in for lunch and were really pleased with the day's special in-house ground beef burger, done just as we requested, and fabulous hand-cut fries with a yummy aioli. Good music, friendly service, and an all-round comfortable place to stop. We'll be back soon to try more of the interesting-looking items on the menu.

We adore this quaint little pub and restaurant! Their prices are reasonable for some very delicious food. Try the chickpeas app - crispy, crunchy, salty yum! My husband always opts for the fish and chips, which never disappoints. I always try something new and have been both blown away and just 'meh' .. but the ambiance, great atmosphere and great wine list more than make up for it. If you're able and the weather is good, get out on the patio for a glass of wine and enjoy the fire pit. Love that patio. Best outdoor hangout in St. Pete, IMO.

The escargot is served in a small skillet with lots of melted garlic butter; they are very small in size which may help to account for their incredible tenderness...really excellent. Their bouillabaisse was unusual and "to die for" as the saying goes served in a white cream base rather than the more traditional red. The seasonal salad was good without being exceptional. The only disappointment for the evening was the "sticky toffee pudding" ... it wasn't. We were served a fairly dry piece of cake with whipped cream on the top, the plate had three small teaspoon sized dollops of ice cream ....missing was any hint of "sticky toffee" ...we asked and were told that this was indeed their version. I've eaten sticky toffee pudding in lots of places, here and abroad, this was the worst I've ever had. Service was pleasant and very good throughout the evening.

Tastiest British Food I've had in the USA! The Queenshead has a cozy, eclectic ambiance which is similar to some of the funky pubs you run into in Camdentown or Shoreditch in London. IMO, The British grub is some of the best I've had on this side of the Altantic as I frequent the UK several times a year. The ingredients are of a higher quality than most pub food, as evidenced by the resulting higher prices. ($15.00 for fish and chips?) Prices aside, you get bang for your buck in the quality and at happy hour as well as the Thursday fish and chips special of $10.00. We started off with the fried chickpeas thanks to my fellow Yelpers who so highly recommended them! Ditto! Especially with hot sauce! I had the chicken curry which was spiced just right and delicious. I wanted more! The portion was a tad small! My partner had the fish and chips but substituted mash (much to my chagrin). The mash was made from scratch, creamy and melted in your mouth! The fish was lightly battered, tender and flaky and delightful. Well done!

This is my FAVORITE place to eat in St. Pete, and hands-down favorite bar. The food is good, but what REALLY keeps bringing me back is the atmosphere and set-up. Eating outside either at a table or on one of their amazing canopy-style beds is the best! The owners are also quite wonderful and welcoming. Definitely an adults-only restaurant as the bathroom wallpaper is quite cheeky :). I absolutely adore their desserts and saketinis. I recommend this place to anyone going to St. Pete.

The Queen's Head reminded me of my time overseas going to restaurants that promised to seem American, but didn't. The food was OK- even though we didn't get what we ordered. Kind of gourmet-like for a simple British pub which is what we were looking for with my British father in law. He wasn't impressed. We felt a bit weird hanging out there. A lot of loud, rambunctious people hanging there and 80's pop music videos playing loudly on the big screen. I'm not sure it's worth going back for us. It just wasn't our cup of tea.

I lost count how many bottles of wine we had or food we had, but this I can tell you, I truly enjoyed this place. The owners seated us at a bed, near fireplace and they both really catered to us. Very chic location! We also tried there breakfast brunch (not buffet type) and it was very English- I had there Egg, Sausage with mash. I am not a fan of the crispy chick peas, it was over fried...it left an after taste. Bottom line, will I go back? Yay! I'am a fan!

This is a Sunday brunch review, I haven't been here any other time (yet!). Brunch at Queenshead is a great way to have a slow Sunday morning. Friendly and prompt service is great to help you sit back with friends and just enjoy your time. The simple but delicious/creative menu makes sure there's something for everyone. Make sure to pick a nice morning for outside dining and if you're feeling REALLY laid-back, hop on to one of the multiple outdoor beds with a small group and let the chill sounds of their DJ lull you in to a lazy Sunday.

Why anyone rates the brunch at this place so highly is beyond me. I gave the extra star because the eggs bendict was fresh and tasty, $12 not including tax or side item is way to pretentious for my taste. If they would've slopped a couple of pieces of potatoes on the side, I would've given an additional star but I left this place still starving. The food isn't to mention to hideous service. I ordered a cup of Earl gray tea at a British gastropub, and they 'didn't have any.' So I settled for a $3 cup of flavorless herbal tea. Oh, and the water was ice cold. I informed the waitress and she said 'the kettle was off.' (Still was charged anyway) I ordered just an English muffin with jelly, and 'they didn't have any jelly'. So I just ate it with butter. My boyfriend, who ordered coffee, had to literally get up to go inside to find someone to give him a refill. Will not be going back.

One of the best, if not THE best fish and chip dinners I've ever had. That's including London, where I lived for two months! Not a hint of greasiness, our plates came with the largest, perfectly fried Haddock I've seen. A good, clean, fresh taste, the fish is served on a bed of cottage chips and slightly crunchy peas. Delightful! Excellent wine/beer list..I was quite hapy to see Newkie Brown Ale there! Paul sat and chatted with us for a bit, telling us about a street fair/flea market/entertainment event coming up on November 12th. A very nice chap and I'm quite looking forward to returning to try some more of the menu in the near future.

Fabulous! The owner waited on us. He was very pleasant and gave great descriptions of the food and recommendations. We started with the cheddar and cauliflower croquettes which were fantastic! My mom really enjoyed her fish and chips. I ordered the roasted pumpkin risotto, which was outstanding! My hubby ordered and enjoyed the empire chicken curry. We all sampled each others foods and enjoyed them all! Writing this review makes me want to return again very soon! Yum! The flavors are a bit sophisticated so it may not be the most "kid friendly food". My son only liked the fish and chips. I think it's totally fine to bring kids there for lunch. It's definitely one of the pricier gastro pubs in the area, but worth it! The service was great. It took a little while to receive our entrees, but worth the wait. We were the only customers at lunch, but that often means the food is being prepared to order. The execution of the dishes was very pretty as well. Colorful and tastefully done. The outdoor space is very nice and inviting. We'll definitely return. Keep up the tasty food!

This is a cute place, I came at around 8:30 on a Friday night and it wasn't very crowded, mostly couples and groups at tables. Sat at the bar being by myself and the wait staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Kitchen staff took a while to get me lamb sliders. I could tell the bartenders were frustrated and repeatedly apologized saying they just checked on it and it would be right up... which happened 3 times before I ended up with my food over 40 minutes later. It was well worth the wait because the sliders were FANTASTIC! but there was also a fishy smell coming from the kitchen that made my stomach turn at a couple points (a pet peeve of mine). I was offered a drink on the house to make up for the wait. Not exactly a place to go, sit by yourself and just hang out and chat with whoever's at the bar, but would be a cute place for a date.

Very sexy place in Grand Central, the amazing LGBT purified protected zone. The aesthetic is just so striking and makes everyone look a tad classier. Outdoor seating is a nice touch for a club, adding some intimacy.

Nice space. Looks like a 1930s gas station repurposed in a way no one might expect - you have to be looking close to see what it once was. Nice build out, nice bar space, great outdoor space. When the weather is nice, I can see this outdoor space really hopping. We were there on a Saturday night, a slightly older crowd inside enjoying the A/C and clean air - a younger crowd outside destroying their lungs to the sounds of a DJ. Hot and smoky will never be a zone of choice for me however... the bar is quite nice, there is a decent selection of wines by the glass and craft brew choices for beer drinkers. The bat staff was friendly - there is a menu of food items, none of which we tried as this was the mid point in our evening and we were on our way to Georgie's for some serious libations.

Went to Queens Head a few times before just for drinks and lounging... last night I attended a dinner meeting and tried the roasted carrot soup and scallops. I was very happy with the service, presentation and flavors! I really like the outdoor setup and I hear the brunch is very good. That's next on my list for this restaurant :)

Four posted lounge beds over a gravel patio, indie-electro dance parties, bathrooms papered with British tabloids, and a progressive European-influenced gastro pub menu. Sounds out of place in the bay area, doesn't it? The Queenshead is an anomaly, but is also the most welcoming scene I've experienced down here. Joint owners Darren and Paul have poured hearts into this smallish restaurant/pub/club, and the result would fit into any of the more eclectic scenes of Miami, NY, or San Fran. Chef Chris Greer can do no wrong - the menu is seasonal, balanced, and comprehensively delicious. Try the pistachio stuffed duck breast, the fish and chips, or the beet and mushroom risotto. For dessert, take a few people and order one of each item. Explore sake-bloody mary's, or any of the familiar (or unfamiliar) beers. Sunday Brunch, long an underexploited opportunity downtown, is spot-on here. Sausage and beans on toast is britishly delicious, as are the chip buttie, the kedgeree, and the other oddly named and exquisitely prepared pub breakfasts they've translated into modern culinary analogs. DJ Craig Dirty spins down-tempo tracks, quiet electronica and guitar chords rousing you from whatever chaos enveloped your Saturday night previous. Speaking of Saturday nights previous, DJ Craig rocks a mean house every week, and there's an 80's night, too. On other nights, you might be lucky enough to find a local jazz band, or maybe a movie projected onto a screen in the outdoors lounge. There's a firepit, too, but no marshmallows yet. Creative Loafing article aside, it'd be a disservice to classify QH under any sort of sexual preference. It's in Kenwood, which is considered the Gay/Lesbian neighborhood of St. Petersburg, but everyone's welcome. It's an invitation you'd be unwise to disregard.

Great neighborhood spot for yummy food and sweet people. It's a great cafe with bright colors and happy servers. They are never ones to tell you a flat out NO. They always find a way and appreciate the local business. Quick tip: When you are there, check out the bathroom. Best in the Burg!

I love the Queens Head. It is one of the few places in St. Pete that is comfortable to go to alone or with friends. It never feels weird. Their fish & chips is super delicious, but my favorite supper is the caprese salad with grilled scallops added. For brunch, the Croque Madam is absolutely wonderful. I'm always stuffed, but still I want to finish it because it is so tasty.

I went on a not so busy evening with a large group for dinner. The food was delicious (the only miss was my friend's fish which she didn't care for) and the service was friendly. It wasn't overly pricey. The decor is funky and it seems like a nice place to spend a busier evening.

Have only been in town for a month and have eaten here 5 times......The food and service is fantastic and the decor is wonderful.....The owners Paul and Darrin are 2 of the nicest guys in the business in the Grand Central area....Having said this the FOOD is the star.....BEST Fish and Chips outside of London... the malt vinegar reduction is like manna from heaven and the minted spring peas will make you smack yo mama for never serving peas like this.......the second visit I had the chicken curried risotto special......did everything but pick up the plate and lick it....and this afternoon met a friend and had their shepherd's pie and hand made crisps with goat cheese and beets....DAYUM....over the top wonderful.......BUT still the one item that blew me away was their chocolate brownie concoction......My only wish is that they had Traditional English Sunday Dinner-roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, parsnips and turnips, etc......like in the Cotswold's restaurants.....and a good peaty scotch to top it off....while they do not have a full liquor license they do have great wines and beers and make a Bloody Mary with sake that is wonderful as well. Keep it up guys and if I keep harping on the Sunday Dinner idea maybe they will offer it once a month but YOU ALL Have to come if they do as I am sure it will be perfection like everything else they do.

all the reviews that say, "the food is good, the service is bad" are true. they simply need more help-- busboys, hostess, waiters, valet to man the parking (we accidentally parked next-door at the painting gallery; someone hassled us about it and then blocked us in?), etc. here's why: we made reservations, came from a reception at the art center and were greatly looking forward to having dinner at qh. hours before, the other couple had to cancel, but the manager was very gracious about it and we had a nice table inside waiting for us. when you walk in, you can't help but think "what a cute place!" when we sat down we ordered a glass of merlot and a decaf coffee. my wine was good (i later ordered another glass, but couldn't finish it). throughout the night i reminded our waitress about the coffee. we finally got it (one cup) as we finished our dinner, and the $3 sure showed up on the bill. we ordered the cauliflower croquettes as an appetizer, which caught my eye on line and the waitress recommended. honestly, the 2 sauces they came with it were great and pretty on the plate, but i thought the croquettes were a little bland (like they needed a little dijon mustard in them). i had the salmon, which even though there was a small piece of tinfoil in the entree, was fantastic-- it had a creamy sauce with capers and was served with thin-sliced beets and thin-sliced sweet potatoes. my friend had fish and chips-- the fish was perfect-- light, crispy and huge, not so sure about the chips (the seemed a little under-crispy and maybe out of a bag). some salt & pepper on the table would have been nice, and as nice as the decor was, the silverware was old, crummy and cheap, and wrapped in a white paper napkin. however, the waitress filled up my water glass several times, which was good. once a large table sat down next to us-- who were loud, all had separate checks, barely ordered any food, but were there for a pub night of drinking-- the waitress literally had to run between the outside & the inside. finally, we ordered sticky toffee pudding to-go. i didn't realize that it's served warm, which is fine in a to-go box, but it had small scoops of ice cream around it? by the time we got home it was a runny, gross mess, which i had to throw out. we tipped 20%, which was $14. i'm glad we went, but i can't see going back.

While it's atmosphere is nice and the owners and staff extremely friendly, I was disappointed with the food. Portions are small which I don't really have a problem with, but are served alone with no extras like a Salad. I had a plate of risotto only, and not only was the portion small , it cost $16.00. We have some awesome restaurants in St. Petersburg, but this one needs a little food improvement to match their prices.

Fish and chips - the best in the area, the cod was hanging off both sides of the plate. The chicken curry is very tasty, and having a corn fritter rather than rice was innovative and tantalizing to the palate. The bangers and mash was disappointing mainly due to the fact that there was only one banger, albeit sliced into bite size pieces. Half the fun of sausages is cutting 'em up yourself. I'd rather forego this touch of preparation and have an extra banger. The mash was very good tho. The Sunday brunch is popular, and they made a dish of mashed up fish and egg that sounds unappetizing at first but is truly a tasty surrpse. I look forward to the return of their traditional British roast dinner, which Darren, one of the owners, told me didn't work over the two Sundays they served it. You gotta give it more time than that, guys!

An eclectic euro-bar & restaurant with a compact well-chosen menu of primarily british isles inspired food. While the menu may be compact the flavor and portions are far from it! The fish & chips were perfectly prepared and very tasty. The chicken curry was well spiced and flavorful. Save room for the white chocolate sticky toffee pudding (British for a moist heavy cake with topping) with mango sorbet, there is enough for two. We did not indulge in alcohol this trip, but a decent selection of beers including Guinness on tap, several well chosen wines including ports by the glass. In short, a very pleasant, trendy atmosphere, that is comfortable for all. If it is a nice evening weather wise - they have some awesome outdoor seating to enjoy the streetmosphere of the Grand Central District. I'll return to indulge further!

Read good reviews so decided to give it a try while in town for the weekend. Very local small pub feel, interesting decor, nice outdoor seating. Fast and attentive servers. Food was phenomenal. Shared the crispy chickpeas with my husband, delicious crunch and nice soft inside. Great flavor, salty but not too salty. Husband had the bangers and mash, best ever! Mash was creamy and buttery and the red wine sauce was amazing. I had the marinated artichoke and goat cheese salad, if you like goat cheese get it! Delicious!! Small-ish portions for the price but it was just enough for us and absolutely worth it in taste and flavor. Very happy with our choice to go here!

took my dad here for Fathers day since it was one of the only places we haven't tried in St Pete. Food was tasty, but i felt the portions were small and everything was a couple dollars overpriced. Waitress was friendly, but took a LONG time to come back to the table and it WAS NOT busy in the building, plus completely didn't bring the last round of drinks we ordered ( she didn't charge us so i guess its a wash) I would go back a second time just to give it another try, but if im let down again i wouldnt be surprised.

Unfortunately we didn't stay long but if were back in this area well def go back there. I love the Caribbean beach atmosphere, the bed on the outside surrounding a fire is a great idea and very relaxing. All the patrons there seemed to be having a great time and it was a very relaxed atmosphere. I love the art deco decor inside and the staff was extremely friendly. My only regret was that we didn't stay longer def go if you can. I wish we had bars like this in st. Louis!!!!!
